Do you have a great hairdresser? I wish I could say I have found the perfect one. Now, I am not the expert here, but this is what I would like to see. I make the appointment, walk into the salon and the following happens.
My new hairdresser to be looks at me and says “What is it you would like to have done today?” Are you happy with your present hairstyle? Do you have problems maintaining it? What kind of lifestyle do you have? Can you spend more than 10 minutes on your hair? Really, Is this too much to expect?
This is what usually takes place. I walk in the salon and once it is determined I have an appointment, I am led to the shampoo chair; afterwards, I am led to the cutting chair. So now I am sitting there with my hair sprouting in every direction, wet, and, well, you get the picture. THEN, the hairedresser says, what would you like done. At that point, I am not sure how to explain what I want done but I give it my best shot. After cutting away, the hairdresser grabs the blow dryer. Halfway through, I get spun around, away from the mirror and have no idea how it is being dried, so when I go home, guess what? I don’t have a clue how to duplicate what the hairdresser has done!
But there is hope. I am going to a new hairdresser on Thursday, and I am already impressed. Over the phone, she asked me (a) what I wanted done (b) how long my hair was (c) and when I told her I wanted a colour, she then proceeded to ask me several questions about this. Just maybe, this is the one I keep!
Perhaps you don’t agree! Perhaps you have already found the perfect hairdresser! Lucky you!!
